The horizon has expanded widely with never ending staff shortage and off course not ignoring the demands “at home”. A nurse's role in future will undergo rapid changes especially in the corporatized health care industry.
Guru Teg Bahadur College of Nursing is the result of highly educated social thinkers and administrators who intend to impart highly professional, skilled training in nursing field. The college was established in 2002 and is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and Punjab Nurses Registration Council, Mohali and is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
A small initiation in this regard has resulted into full blooming institute with an annual intake of 30 students of ANM, 60 students in GNM and 40 students in B.Sc Nursing. The college is situated on the outskirts of Tarn Taran city on the GT road linking Amritsar with Ferozepur. It has a magnificent building with spacious classrooms and laboratories. Besides having a huge and extensive building, the college prides in itself having a spacious lawn, grounds of badminton, basketball and volleyball. Another worthy feature of the college is two hostel blocks which are presently accommodating more than 150 students. A unique feature pertinent to mention here is that college is having 24 hours supply of electricity on account of efforts of management which has been successful in getting hotline facility for the college. Being on the GT Road, the college is frequented by 5 minute bus service, besides the college has its own buses for plying the students to and from the hospitals so that first class and highly professionalized clinical training could be imparted to the students. For this purpose the college is affiliated to Govt. Medical College, Civil Hospitals and ultra modern private hospitals. Our pass percentage for last three years has been 100 percentage. Over the years, the Institute has developed a unique environment and infrastructure that can deliver education and healthcare services of truly global standards.
